Dance with MAPS

Gaga dance, creative workshop, performance, and guided tours

21.06.2025 10:00 – 16:30

Nørregade 29, 4600

Dive into the exhibition Dancing in the Streets (On Power) through Gaga dance, performance, creative workshops, and guided tours – and enjoy a drink with our new director in the café.

The morning is especially designed for families with children. Here, kids and adults alike can join a sensory family tour and creative workshop as we explore art through play and movement.

In the afternoon, artist and researcher Clara Ferreira Cores invites everyone to an open movement workshop. We’ll loosen up with Gaga dance – a fun, sensory, and intuitive movement practice that’s open to all. No dance experience or knowledge of intuitive movement is required.

You can also experience a live performance inside Maria Hassabi’s mirrored installation Passage, join sensory tours, and enjoy refreshments in the café.

All guided tours, creative workshops, dance sessions, performances, and refreshments are free with admission. You don’t have to stay all day – just join the program elements that interest you.

Program:
10:00–12:00: Family morning with guided tour, creative workshop, and an introduction to Gaga dance – a sensory and playful movement experience for the whole family.

13:00–13:45: Performance in Maria Hassabi’s installation Passage – a meditative and bodily experience in the heart of the exhibition.

14:00–15:00: Dance workshop with Clara Ferreira Cores – open to all, regardless of experience. It’s all about listening to your body and letting intuition guide your movements.

15:00–15:30: Meet MAPS’ new director Malene Ratcliffe and enjoy a refreshment in the café.

15:30–16:30: Guided tour for adults in the exhibition Dancing in the Streets (On Power)
