Autumn Holiday Workshop

Bring the whole family along for a fun and creative autumn holiday experience at MAPS.

During Week 42, we’re filling the workshop with plaster, colours and experiments and inviting children and adults to cast their very own sculptures.

Choose a mould, mix your favourite colours and play with stripes, patterns and marbling. Perhaps your sculpture needs a mast too?

Once the plaster has been poured into the mould, it’s time for a hot chocolate while you wait for your sculpture to take shape.

After about 30 minutes, you can open the mould and see how your sculpture turned out. Is it a ship? An abstract sculpture? Or something completely different?

The workshop is inspired by artist Tove Storch’s experiments with form and materials in the exhibition Preliminary work for Tove Storch’s The Ship.

Look forward to:
– Playing with colours, patterns and marbling
– Casting your very own sculpture
– Hot chocolate while you wait
– Unwrapping your sculpture and seeing the finished result

And yes – of course you get to take your sculpture home!

Price: DKK 50 per child, including materials and hot chocolate
Dates: Tuesday–Friday during Week 42
Time: 11 am–2 pm

Tickets can be purchased here or at the entrance on the day.

Adults can take part in the workshop free of charge when accompanying a child.

Admission to the museum exhibitions is purchased separately.
