15 Minute Intro
The Story of Public Art
29.11.2025 12:15 – 12:30
Use MAPS in a new way. Instead of taking in everything at once you can dive into The Story of Public Art bit by bit – one project at a time.
Every Saturday at 12:15, we offer a short introduction of one of the 90 art projects featured in the exhibition. Hear the ideas behind a groundbreaking – and often temporary – public art project from the 1950s to today. Many of these projects no longer exist out in the world and can only be experienced here at MAPS. Each week, a new project is in focus.
Saturday, November 29th we will focus on the artist Rosemary Mayer and the work Ghost, Roses.
– sculpture, new version for exhibition, 1981/2025.
Duration: 15 minutes. Price: Free with paid admission.
Pair the introduction with lunch in the café beforehand – or coffee and cake afterwards.
Keep coming back each Saturday until you’ve heard the full story of art in public space.
