15 Minute Intro: Hi-Red Center
The Story of Public Art
11.04.2026 12:15 – 12:30
Use MAPS in a new way. Instead of taking in everything at once you can dive into The Story of Public Art bit by bit – one project at a time.
Every day at 12:15, we offer a short introduction of one of the 90 art projects featured in the exhibition. Hear the ideas behind a groundbreaking – and often temporary – public art project from the 1950s to today. Many of these projects no longer exist out in the world and can only be experienced here at MAPS. Each week, a new project is in focus.
Saturday April 11 2026, we will focus on the artist Hi-Red Center and the art work Yamanote Line Incident, 1964.
Duration: 15 minutes.
Price: Free with paid admission.
