Guided Introduction: A Black Hole Calling Us

Cecilie Waagner Falkenstrøm

16.09.2026 13:00 – 13:15

Get an introduction to A Black Hole Calling Us every Wednesday and Friday at 1 pm.

A Black Hole Calling Us is Cecilie Waagner Falkenstrøm’s large-scale interactive installation in the square in front of Køge Station. Through eight screens and an immersive soundscape, the work invites you on a journey toward – and into – a black hole.

During the introduction, you can hear about how the work operates at the intersection of art, technology and science, and how Cecilie Waagner Falkenstrøm, in collaboration with researchers from the Niels Bohr Institute, has transformed research on black holes into a sensory artistic experience. You will also have the opportunity to step between the work’s eight screens and experience how your own body becomes part of the work.

Practical information:
We meet at MAPS at 1 pm and walk to the square in front of Køge Station (a 3–4-minute walk), where the introduction to the work will take place.

Duration: 15 minutes
Price: Free with paid admission
