MAPS Movie Mingle: Land Art Kino
01.05.2026 18:00 – 19:00
MAPS Movie Mingle is a vibrant film experience where we explore visual culture through everything from art films and video art to documentaries and more commercial works. The programme brings together films across genres and formats, creating an informal space where you can experience both classics and new perspectives. Enjoy a glass of wine, have some popcorn, and watch a great film, introduced by one of our hosts, who will provide an introduction to the evening’s screening.
MAPS invites you to a Land Art Kino film night.
With Land Art Kino, we trace historical lines back to pioneers such as Robert Smithson, Nancy Holt and Judy Chicago, whose iconic works stand as symbols of art’s entry into the landscape. The films offer a chance to experience works that no longer exist or are located so remotely that they are rarely seen in person. They also reveal the processes behind the works, offering insight into their creation and context.
The screening begins with a short introduction to the films.
